Dr. Gilbert Hernandez is a proud Rochester native, born and raised in the heart of New York. Inspired by his mentor, Dr. Sarah Smith, he pursued a career in dentistry to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to the community he calls home.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University at Buffalo, then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University in 2019. After graduation, Dr. Hernandez returned to Rochester to complete a residency at Rochester General Hospital. His deep-rooted passion for service led him to continue practicing in his hometown, where he remains dedicated to making a lasting impact.
Outside the office, Dr. Hernandez brings rhythm to the community as a keyboardist in a local salsa orchestra. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is committed to creating a welcoming environment and delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient base.
